I met Kaleen more than a decade ago when I hired her at a restaurant I was managing. We’ve been best friends ever since, so you can imagine how excited I was to hear she and her man Kenny were expecting a baby. Cue the tears!
When Kaleen let me know she’d be traveling from Sacremento to Pismo Beach for her baby shower, I couldn’t wait to take her maternity photos!
This is their first child and Kaleen and Kenny decided to keep the baby’s gender a surprise. The love between these two and the excitement they have for their baby absolutely radiates from their faces. Kenny just adored Kaleen the entire session.
When I got the phone call that Kaleen + Kenny welcomed a perfect baby GIRL I bawled! Even typing this, makes my eyes tear up. She also let me know that they were going to be driving back to the Central Coast to attend a wedding in San Luis Obispo! So of course, we booked her a newborn session. Now I recommend doing newborn photos before your baby is 2 weeks, and Kennedy would be 5 weeks at the time of the session. But that did not stop me. Even though she refused to sleep the entire time in the studio, we were still able to get some GORGEOUS photos! She is a such a doll and totally loved.
