The Meaning of Artful Documentation
As a mother of four, with my oldest an adult now, I know how fast the time goes.
The spring turns to summer, and the summer fades into fall. Next thing you know, the years have passed.
I am dedicated to documenting your family's most precious moments of today so that you can remember every moment tomorrow. I take an artful approach to the small details only a mother themselves remember, like how their little ears had little hairs, and you wondered if it would go away. So you can remember how they would suck on their bottom lip as they drifted off to sleep. The way they crinkled their nose as they laughed into their toddler years or how the sunlight hit their hair as they grew right in front of you.

Photography by DeeDee preserves those moments and the details that are oh so fleeting, so you can go back in time long after your child is grown and hold on to that moment forever.
MORE THAN JUST A PHOTOGRAPHER

I fell in love with photography as a child. I always had a disposable camera in my hand, using every penny to develop the images I took. When I became a Mom, I would set up and take her photos every holiday of my daughter's first year—documenting her tiniest details and noticing the cutest features or expressions she had.
Then when my son was born in 2006, I got my first DSLR. I set him on my dining room table, on a fuzzy blanket, and used my overhead light as my lighting. It was at that moment that I knew I was going to be a baby photographer. I've come a long way since those days. In 2015 when my husband and I wanted to grow our family, we agreed for me to pursue photography as a full-time business. I opened my dream studio in 2017. I had a pure and simple yet luxurious vision that my husband brought to life. A vision continues to evolve and grow.
After welcoming my fourth child and now being a homeschool mom, life continues to transition, embracing the gift that photography brings into my life. My journey has led me to explore my creativity in a way that maximizes my time with the people who mean the most to me (my family) and share my vision and expertise with those I work with as an entrepreneur.
Every summer, we camp in Lake Tahoe, where we unplug from technology. It's the vacation I live for.
